The Afghanistan national football team is fully prepared for the return match against Pakistan in the qualifiers for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.

Training sessions have been ongoing for several days in Kuwait under the supervision of coaches, particularly Vincenzo Alberto, with intense preparation aimed at achieving a favorable result against Pakistan.

Players from the national team have stated they are in excellent condition both physically and in terms of training and are ready for the challenge.

Jamshid Acheckzai, a member of the national team, said: “This is our third training session, preparations are going well, and we are determined to secure a win for Afghanistan. This is our second match against Pakistan.”

Hossein Zamani, another national team player, added: “We are currently in Kuwait, and the players are ready to face Pakistan. We arrived a few days ago, had enough rest, and are now fully prepared to get a good result.”

Goalkeeper Isa Azizi also commented: “All players are ready to deliver a good result against Pakistan here in Kuwait. The previous match’s outcome was not acceptable to us.”

Meanwhile, a number of football analysts consider this match an important opportunity for Afghanistan to secure a favorable outcome.

Seyed Mahdi Kazemi, a coach and football analyst, said: “The facilities and player readiness are significantly better compared to the first leg, and we hope to achieve a result that meets the expectations of Afghan fans and the nation.”

Afghanistan is scheduled to host this match in Kuwait on Tuesday of the current week.

At the same time, the Pakistan national football team has also arrived in Kuwait to face Afghanistan.

Previously, in the first leg of this encounter, Afghanistan was forced to play under unequal conditions due to delays in visa issuance by Pakistan and lack of sufficient time for camp and coordination, resulting in a goalless draw.

So far in the Asian Cup qualifiers, Afghanistan has played against Syria, Myanmar, and Pakistan, recording two losses and one draw.
