UNAMA’s press office confirmed to Yaraan that the incident took place on Sunday afternoon at a UN facility near Pul-e-Charkhi in eastern Kabul. According to UNAMA’s statement, a Taliban member was later found dead outside the compound. However, the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. The shooting occurred at a facility known as UNOCA, which houses the offices of UNAMA, several other UN agencies, affiliated organizations, and residential accommodations for international UN staff.
