Security sources reported the arrest of an ISIS member named Saeedullah.
In a video released of the detained individual, he confesses to having received training in Pakistan before being sent to Afghanistan via the Torkham crossing.
The ISIS member said: “When I entered Afghanistan with a fake ID card, my name here was Mohammad. In Quetta, when I went to the mountains, significant efforts were made to mentally indoctrinate me.”
Meanwhile, a number of analysts believe that the killing of ISIS members on the other side of the hypothetical Durand Line and the arrest of trained operatives within Afghanistan indicate Pakistan’s involvement in regional insecurity, particularly in Afghanistan.
Yousuf Amin Zazai, a military affairs expert, stated: “I can say with certainty that Afghanistan is neither a source nor a hub of terrorism. These terrorists are funded from the region and operate under various names.”
Naqibullah Noori, a political analyst, added: “This shows that Pakistan’s claims are false, and it has now been proven that the center of terrorist training is Pakistan and its government.”
Previously, the Central Commission for Security and Clearance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had also announced on January 22 this year, that newly recruited ISIS fighters were being transferred from Karachi and Islamabad airports to centers in Balochistan and tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the aim of launching attacks in regional countries, particularly Afghanistan.
