Karim, one of Salim Paigir’s brothers, has reported an improvement in his health.

He also called for the perpetrators of the incident to be brought to justice.

Karim, Paigir’s brother, told TOLOnews: “He has opened his eyes and is recovering. According to his doctors and what we observe daily, there have been significant positive changes in his condition.”

Several political analysts are also calling for a thorough investigation into Salim Paigir’s case.

Janat Faheem Chakari, a political analyst, said: “If the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan truly acknowledges that the media is the fourth pillar of a state, it must handle Paigir’s case in a way that prevents such crimes from recurring.”

Sayed Akbar Sial, another political analyst, added: “More steps must be taken to ensure the safety of important individuals so that we do not lose such prominent figures.”

Salim Paigir, a political analyst and media figure, was shot by unknown armed men on the 9th of October.

Following the attack, the Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with the incident, and further investigations are ongoing.
