Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said that 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 30 others wounded during an operation conducted last night.
Mujahid added that during the retaliatory operations carried out across the hypothetical Durand Line, several weapons were also seized temporarily.
According to Mujahid, “Nine Afghan soldiers were also martyred and 16 others wounded, while 20 Pakistani security outposts were destroyed.”
The spokesperson further stated that the operation was halted at midnight following requests from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Commenting on the presence of ISIS-K in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mujahid claimed that the group was defeated in Afghanistan and later established its bases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“Training centers for ISIS-K have been established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and trainees are being brought there through Karachi and Islamabad airports. Our findings show that the attacks in Iran and Moscow were orchestrated from these centers,” Mujahid said.
He further alleged that recent ISIS-K attacks in Afghanistan were planned from these bases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and called on the Pakistani government to hand over key ISIS-K members to the Islamic Emirate.
Mujahid also revealed that Pakistan had requested to send a delegation to Afghanistan, but the Islamic Emirate rejected the proposal in response to the airstrikes conducted by Pakistan on Thursday night.
The forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan carried out retaliatory operations against Pakistani forces in several Afghan provinces along the disputed Durand Line on Saturday night.
Zabihullah Mujahid warned that any violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty will not go unanswered.
