Afghanistan U-17 Futsal Team Departs for Bahrain

Officials from the national futsal team say that after several weeks of intensive training, efforts have been made to prepare the U-17 players technically, mentally, and emotionally for a successful appearance in the upcoming tournament.
Behrooz Jafari, head coach of the Afghanistan U-17 national futsal team, said: “We had a 20-day training camp in Tehran and held very good and organized friendly matches. God willing, we will participate in the Olympic Games with full preparation.”
The players also described their readiness as satisfactory and said they are highly motivated to achieve positive results and bring pride to their country.
Abbas Haidari, a member of the U-17 futsal team, said: “Given the high-quality training camp we had, God willing, we’ll return with a title.”
According to the official schedule, Afghanistan’s U-17 futsal team is placed in Group A, where they will compete against Uzbekistan, host nation Bahrain, and China.
The tournament officially kicks off on October 23, 2025, in Bahrain.
