The absence of Asan Khedmat (Easy Service) centers in several provinces has forced citizens to travel to Kabul to access basic administrative services, including electronic ID (Tazkira) issuance.

Residents of provinces such as Paktia, Laghman, and Baghlan, while visiting service centers in the capital, have called for the expansion of these facilities in their respective areas.

Mohammad Zahidan, a resident of Paktia, said: “Yes, there are problems, especially with the electronic ID process. Some errors are made by staff, and there are many issues with names. To fix these problems, we had to come to Kabul, which has been very costly for us.”

Other applicants for electronic Tazkiras, who have traveled from various provinces to Kabul, are also urging the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to establish Asan Khedmat centers in their own regions.

Nematullah, a resident of Laghman, said: “Our request is to establish Asan Khedmat centers in Laghman province as well. Currently, we do not have such a center, and we need better access to Tazkira services.”

Moazullah, a resident of Baghlan, added: “Our demand is to have these service centers set up in Baghlan too—especially for the distribution of electronic Tazkiras.”

The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) stated that it is working to expand these centers. Currently, ten Asan Khedmat centers are active in Kabul and a few other provinces, providing citizens with essential services.

Mohammad Halim Rafi, spokesperson for NSIA, said: “We have plans to open a new center in Farah in the near future, and we intend to expand the network in other provinces including Ghazni, Kunduz, Paktika, and Jawzjan.”

In recent years, Asan Khedmat centers have been established in Kabul and several provinces to streamline administrative services for the public.

These centers aim to reduce long queues, accelerate administrative processes, and provide easier access to government services.
