Pakistan state TV: Airstrikes carried out on Kabul and Kandahar

Pakistani security forces launched airstrikes on targets in Kabul and Kandahar on Wednesday, according to Pakistan’s state-run broadcaster PTV, citing security sources.

The report claimed that the airstrikes targeted what it described as command centers and gatherings of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Kabul, and specific Taliban positions and affiliated groups in Kandahar.

According to the report, the Pakistani military targeted the Taliban’s 4th and 8th battalion command centers, as well as the 5th border battalion in Kandahar.

While local residents and sources confirmed two explosions and aerial activity in the Sarak-e-Panj area of Kabul’s Taimani neighborhood, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid denied the reports, stating on X that the incident was caused by a fuel tanker fire.

Moreover, sources have confirmed airstrikes by Pakistani forces in Spin Boldak district, Kandahar, province on Wednesday.

Residents said homes and shops in the area were damaged as a result of the explosion.
